Set me Free

It’s amazing how we fall in love.

The lovely taste of it,

Like the first few drops of a summer rain,

The sweet refreshing taste of raindrops.

One such night,

When the sun and the moon,

Played hide and seek,

On one such dusky sky,

I saw you.

Some timeless frames,

Stuck in memory, engraved,

All along the walls of paradise.

Oh, such a beautiful art it is!

Can’t you hear the soft melody,

The intertwined patterns of happiness?

Buried deep inside the intoxicating rhythms,

Some rhythms of eternal delight?

I have desires.

Long lost desires, erupt voraciously,

Like a forgotten dormant volcano,

And the hot lava of passions,

Flow through.

Some raw red passion.

In this terrible pressure,

The ground trembles.

Trapped souls banging for freedom,

A terrible plea of revival.

Come along, pretty girl,

Come along with your magic wand,

Release me, from these iron chains,

Set me free, today.

Living Life

Trapped in the soulless abyss of desperate satisfaction,

Who are we trying to fool?

Instead, why don’t we just fly

A penny- worth blue kite in the sky?

Instead of running into an endless night of sinful hypocrisies,

Why don’t we just walk and hum a song?

Just before we fade away, like some careless drops of red wine,

On a decade-long barren bed of dust,

Can we be human, just for once?

Lost Hopes

I would like to know,

How does he touch you?

Like the first drop of rain,

On the red rose petals?

The sensuous warm touch of his,

On your soft white skin,

How do you feel, then?

The sweet taste of his lips,

The hot heavy breath,

An eternal pledge of satisfaction,

How do you feel, then?

Let me tell you now.

How I feel.

When I once saw you,

Walking happily along the streets,

I felt I found my long lost soul, back.

The tiny heart beats I have,

They were ever strong!

Waves of orgasmic pleasure,

Hit me hard,

Like the dark blue ocean,

On such a wild stormy night!

Ancient emotions broke through,

I knew you were never mine.

Hope.

It is indeed a four letter word.

Chocolate Muffins

Thus, in a day or so,

You will leave me and go!

As I lay down, on the moist green grass,

I look up!

I try to connect the stars!

The stars, holding the key to the future,

I try to listen to them!

But what about the chocolate muffins,

I made for you?

Do you still want to taste them?

Let me touch you now,

Why don’t you close your eyes?

The sweetness of your lips, it’s surely the muffins.

Give yourself to me,

For this once,

Because I don’t know what will happen,

In the next few years.

I don’t want you to go,

My blue valentine!

You filled me up with the crimson light,

Behold! My Florence Nightingale!

Revival of Wasted Souls

The revival of wasted souls,

The ever awaited ritual,

Of blood and sand.

Can’t you hear the Salvation Army?

Marching steadily.

Can’t you hear the footsteps?

The brisk footsteps,

The intoxicating rhythms of arrival?

Who wants to bear that pain?

The slow torture,

Where the flesh is ripped off from the bones,

A game of merciless slaughter.

Revival, that’s what they say!

But I would say that’s a bloody massacre!

Promises of a distance future,

A future of peace, happiness and delight,

A future of pure freedom,

So many ways to express yourself!

Who wouldn’t want the revival?

Hope, it’s a strange feeling.

Hopeful is he, who dreams.

Dream now, of some distant future.
Some good times ahead.

Till then,

Let the Salvation Army do their job.

The Princess and the Pauper

Once upon a time,

In the center of all lands,

There lived a princess,

In the castle of golden sands.

All through the years,

She waited for her prince to come,

Who promised her hopes and dreams,

After he’s back, in a year or some.

And there was a pauper,

Oh, such a commoner he was!

Nobody ever heard of him,

Nobody cared what he does!

But one day, the commoner,

Saw the princess, in her floral white gown,

And he kept wondering all along,

Did a fairy from heaven suddenly come down?

And one certain evening,

When the sky was all dark,

The princess in her disguise, got lost,

In the narrow roads, where demons lurk.

Scared was the princess,

She cried out for help,

But she couldn’t find anyone,

All she saw there was herself!

But, amidst the dark corridors,

Suddenly, from somewhere,

Jumped along the pauper,

And told her “I am here”.

The princess was afraid,

Who to trust and whom to not,

But still the pauper tried to protect,

With the tiny knife he had got!

A violent battle then followed,

Under the pitch black sky,

The princess was trembling in fright,

She knew, someone was going to die!

At last the commoner won the war,

Yet he was severely hurt,

But in the end he managed,

Was to win the princess’s heart.

A new friendship began,

The princess and the commoner,

But rest of the people knew,

This had to break, sometime sooner!

They were happy with each other,

Day after day,

But one fine morning he heard,

The prince is coming—He is on his way!

Along ran the pauper,

To meet the princess at once,

To tell her how he needed her,

Just like a thousand splendid suns!

But he reached the castle,

Saw the princess in delight,

His hopes, suddenly blew away,

Hopes, which were once burning bright!

And the princess hugged him,

Cause she was waiting for that day,

Her prince was coming back,

All the wait was about to pay!

With smiles, the pauper,

Kissed the princess on her cheeks,

Leaned and whispered in her ears

“I am still there for you, all days and weeks!”

We don’t know the end,

It changes from time to time,

Who knows, someday you may,

Complete this unfinished rhyme!

Melody

Who are you, girl?
Burning and tormenting me,
In your bizarre passion,
Some touches of psychedelic lust.
I crave for the drug.
Amidst the smile,
Amidst the serene beauty,
Purely mystifying.
Who are you, girl?
The slow jingle of calmness,
Who is humming the lullaby now?
Let the dark void,
Quench my immortal thirst.
My body shudders,
Quietly.
Who are you, girl?
Some memories of obnoxious feelings,
Being ripped off,mercilessly.
Amidst the smell of cold damp air,
In the winds of sterile innocence,
Who are you,girl?
