Them....

It’s just today I attended a marriage ceremony of a distant relative. I know a very few people and got quite bored! Ma was busy chatting with some of them I didn’t know and dad wasn’t there too! So all I did was sit and get bored!

And along came a couple! Well both the woman and the man looked quite young and attractive. I was quite impressed by the attractive smile they had. I would call it feerless.later I got to know they were both mute. They met while working in a typing company and fell in love. I was quite astonished, amazed.

I looked at them for a while. They were sitting together at a corner. Sometimes few relatives came up to them and talked in signs but otherwise they kept to themselves. I loved the way they communicated with each other. One of them just looked into other’s eyes and smiled-and that’s enough for the other to understand. It’s their own language they are speaking, their own language of love.

I do believe love comes in numerous ways and forms, but I never had the fortune of watching such a miracle. Who said love can’t move the world? Who said its all money? I don’t believe it, now. Love can move mountains, love can build bridges, love can do anything.

It’s just the smile. There was an assurance. An assurance of togetherness. I wondered how they expressed their feelings to each other for the first time. Was that the smile? The same smile I noticed today?

How do they express their desires, their feelings, their needs, their sorrow, their wish, their promises? Is it just the smile?

I would remember Ronan Keating sing:

“The smile on your face,

Makes me know that you need me,

There’s a truth in your eyes,

Saying you will never leave me,

The touch of your hand,

Says you’ll catch me,

Whenever I fall,

You say it best,

When you say nothing at all...”

Someone said to me, it’s just what I say, matters a lot. And I loved her more, when we used to walk along the road, silent.I remember feeling her beside me, smelling her perfume, hearing her bangles cling with each other, seeing her beautiful locks. And I do believe, those times were wonderful.

P.S.And to her…I will love you till the end...
